🌱 Employment Opportunities at Hungry World Farm
Full-Time and Part-Time Roles in Regenerative Farming & Hospitality
(Positions beginning as early as Fall 2025; most critical hires by Spring 2026)
🌱 About Hungry World Farm
Hungry World Farm is a 175-acre nonprofit regenerative farm located in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Our mission is to heal the world through regenerative agriculture, which includes:
- Growing nutrient-dense, chemical-free food
- Restoring ecosystem health through forest, prairie, pasture, and soil stewardship
- Inspiring and educating people through immersive guest experiences and hands-on learning
We host thousands of overnight guests annually and in 2026 want to offer them an expanded number of workshops, volunteer opportunities, and working examples of how food, ecology, and people can flourish together. Our enterprise areas include livestock, agroforestry, market gardening, hospitality, and education.
We are currently in startup mode, refining how each enterprise connects to our mission and developing comprehensive 3-, 5-, and 10-year goals for ecosystem health, financial sustainability, and people-centered impact—our 4Es: Ecosystem, Economics, Engagement, and Entity (organizational capacity).
New team members will play a key role in shaping and advancing that vision.
🧑🌾 Culture & Community
We believe the work is only sustainable if the culture is.
We are not a corporate environment. We’re a values-based farm community where people matter, diversity is welcomed, and relationships are just as important as responsibilities. People thrive here when they:
- Care deeply about the mission and land
- Enjoy building meaningful connections with their team
- Want both freedom to lead and responsibility to deliver
- Show up cheerful, generous, and open to growth
We say thank you. We check in. We celebrate each other’s wins and pitch in when it’s hard. Living on the farm, you’ll be part of a team building process—a shared journey of learning, understanding one another, and practicing what it means to live and work well together.
Positions are ideal for someone living on-farm, potentially with a partner involved in another enterprise. Experience living in mission-focused communities (can include intentional communities) would be very helpful.
🌟 The Opportunity
We are hiring mission-driven staff to take on leadership and support roles across the farm. We welcome applications from individuals or couples — and we especially encourage couples who bring complementary skill sets across farmstay, livestock, agroforestry, and facilities.
Couple Example: One partner manages livestock and repairs equipment; the other manages farmstay guest experiences and social media. Together they contribute to multiple enterprises while freeing other housing for interns and guest rentals to support mission activities and salaries.
Individual Example: A beginning farmer with some experience in livestock or agroforestry ready to “go all-in” and grow a profitable, regenerative enterprise while working alongside a collaborative nonprofit team.
