🌾 🛠️ Farm Facilities & Equipment Manager
Part-time | $16,000–$18,000/year | Tiskilwa, IL | Housing Option Available
Become the hands and heart behind the systems that keep Hungry World Farm running strong.
🔧 WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Hungry World Farm is seeking a Facilities & Equipment Manager who knows how to fix things, stay organized, and move fast. You’re the kind of person who takes pride in getting the job done right—and doing it with a good attitude.
You might not have a fancy title on your résumé. Maybe you’ve been a mechanic, contractor, homesteader, groundskeeper, jack-of-all-trades, or a go-to fixer in your community. What matters to us is what you can do, how well you do it, and how you treat people while you do it.
This role is for someone who:
- Enjoys physical work and problem solving
- Works independently and efficiently
- Can be flexible—one day fixing a tractor, the next helping plant trees or run power lines
- Has a good sense of humor and loves being part of a mission-driven team
- May want to live on the farm or work alongside a partner in another role
If you’re looking for a high-paying corporate job, this isn’t it. If you want to do meaningful work in a beautiful place with people who value community, diversity, and the land—read on.
🌱 ABOUT HUNGRY WORLD FARM
Hungry World Farm is a 175-acre nonprofit regenerative farm in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Our mission is to heal the world through regenerative agriculture, reconnect people to land and food, and help guests experience what right relationship with creation looks like.
We welcome thousands of visitors annually—through farmstays, tours, workshops, and community events. Our land includes forest, prairie, silvopasture, and market garden systems—all integrated with food production, education, and restoration.
We’re not just growing food—we’re growing a movement rooted in stewardship, hospitality, diversity, and hope.
🏡 CULTURE & COMMUNITY
We believe the work is only sustainable if the culture is.
We are not a corporate environment. We’re a values-based farm community where people matter, diversity is welcomed, and relationships are just as important as responsibilities. People thrive here when they:
- Care deeply about the mission and land
- Enjoy building meaningful connections with their team
- Want both freedom to lead and responsibility to deliver
- Show up cheerful, generous, and open to growth
We say thank you. We check in. We celebrate each other’s wins and pitch in when it’s hard. Living on the farm, you’ll be part of a team building process—a shared journey of learning, understanding one another, and practicing what it means to live and work well together.
Though not required, this position is ideal for someone living on-farm, potentially with a partner involved in another enterprise. Experience living in mission-focused communities (can include intentional communities) would be very helpful.
