Farmstay Airbnb & Glamping Manager – Hungry World Farm (Illinois)

Full-Time | $32,000–$40,000/year | Tiskilwa, IL | On-Farm Housing Available

Hospitality, vacations, and visits with purpose: help grow a regenerative movement by hosting unforgettable farm experiences.

Who We’re Looking For

Are you a born host with a love for logistics and a passion for purpose-driven travel? Do you thrive at the intersection of hospitality, tech, and mission? Can you keep yurts spotless, spreadsheets updated, guests glowing, and your team motivated—sometimes all before noon or until 9pm?

Hungry World Farm is seeking a Farmstay Manager to lead immersive overnight guest experiences across our glamping sites, apartments, and cabins. This isn’t just a hospitality job—it’s a leadership role in a mission-critical enterprise that powers our nonprofit farm’s education, outreach, and financial sustainability.

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Love hosting people and helping them feel at home
  • Are highly organized, tech-savvy, and available when guests need you
  • Enjoy both big-picture strategy and minute-by-minute execution
  • Want your work to matter—environmentally, spiritually, and socially

If you’re already replying to guest inquiries before breakfast, color-coding linens by yurt, and dreaming about turning visitors into donors through great storytelling—you might be the missing heartbeat of our Farmstay.

About Hungry World Farm

Hungry World Farm is a 175-acre nonprofit regenerative teaching and working farm in Tiskilwa, Illinois. Our purpose is to cultivate healthier people and a healthier planet through regenerative agriculture. We host thousands of people annually for hands-on education, farmstays, workshops, events, and more.

In 2023, we welcomed 132 overnight guests. In 2024, over 1,000. By the end of 2025 and into 2026, we’re targeting 2,000+ overnight guests with an emphasis on weekday programming and deeper engagement.

Our goal: Use radically welcoming hospitality to introduce people to regenerative agriculture, inspire reflection, and invite guests to support and share in the movement.

The Farmstay program is the engine of our educational mission—driving revenue, building our donor and volunteer base, growing our workshop audiences, and increasing the reach of our regenerative values.

Culture & Community

We believe the work is only sustainable if the culture is. We’re not a corporate environment. We’re a values-based farm community where people matter, diversity is welcomed, and relationships are just as important as responsibilities. People thrive here when they:

  • Care deeply about the mission and land
  • Enjoy building meaningful connections with their team
  • Want both freedom to lead and responsibility to deliver
  • Show up cheerful, generous, and open to growth

We say thank you. We check in. We celebrate each other’s wins and pitch in when it’s hard. Living on the farm, you’ll be part of a team-building process—a shared journey of learning, understanding one another, and practicing what it means to live and work well together.

This position is ideal for someone living on-farm, potentially with a partner involved in another enterprise. Experience living in mission-focused (including intentional) communities is helpful.
