Blueberry U-Pick Details

MOST RECENT UPDATE (Sat June 29) - There were some berries for the folks who came to our first day of U-Pick. The road is a bit washed out so be cautious. No staff or porta-potties are at the patch. See details below.

DATES/TIMES: Saturday (July 4th). 7am to 7pm. Dates may change due to weather. *Overnight guests in Yurt-tents/apartments may be given access other days/times.

HOW MANY BERRIES? Lack of rain has led to a limited supply but the picking experience in this remote beautiful location is well worth the trip! 

PRICE: $6.00/lb. 

HOW TO PAY: Weigh the amount at the Farmstead Store/Hub located at "Hungry World Farm, 9295 1925 East St, Tiskilwa, IL 61368." Payment options: cash/check/Venmo (for Venmo click the Charity Tab first & search @hungryworldfarm for our logo.) STAFF PRESENCE: None available. We rely on the honor system. This reflects both our values of trust and faith in our community, and the practical realities of limited labor. We understand this approach may not provide the experience everyone expects, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.

WHAT TO BRING: Water bottles, bug spray, hats, containers. Use the restroom before arrival. No porta-potty on site. There is a restroom at the Farmstead and Farm Learning Center.

VEHICLE REQUIRED: Please use caution as you drive the dirt road from Bottom Road up to the blueberries. The road is bumpy and a bit washed out due to winter and thunderstorm activity. Especially in wet conditions, a 4WD or AWD vehicle is strongly encouraged.

DIRECTIONS: 

From the Hungry World Farm Farmstead or Farm Learning Center, head north on 1925 East St. At the “T” (Tiskilwa Bottom Road / 980 North Ave), turn left and continue 0.1 mile. Turn left (south) at gate (see “BLUEBERRIES” sign to right of gate), and follow the path to blueberries.

From the village of Tiskilwa, head east on Tiskilwa Bottom Road / 980 North Ave about 0.6 mile. You should see a sign that says “BLUEBERRIES” on your right. Turn right (south) at the gate, and follow the path to the blueberries.
